The Crucible
by Arthur Miller
(In Collaboration with The Agnes Irwin School)
November 13 & 14, 7:30 PM
Centennial Hall
Tickets $7 for adults, $5 for students and senior citizens

This year marks the 50th anniversary of Arthur Millers Tony award winning play.  The play is based on the Salem witch trials and the hysteria that engulfed the residents of that Massachusetts community back in 1692.  In addition, the story parallels what was happening in Millers life during the McCarthy trials of the 1950s.  Fifty years later audiences can still learn from both of these events as we examine what is happening in our world today.

Middle-aged baseball fanatic Joe Boyd trades his soul to Mr. Applegate, a.k.a. the Devil, for a chance to lead his favorite team to victory in the pennant race against the New York Yankees. As a young baseball sensation Joe Hardy, he transforms the hapless Washington Senators into a winning team, only to realize the true worth of the life (and wife) he's left behind.  With songs like (Gotta Have) Heart and Whatever Lola Wants, were sure to hit a homerun with this years Winter Musical.

*Join us for our 5th Annual Spaghetti Supper before the performance on March 5th.

Our Middle School boys will combine talents with girls from The Baldwin School  for a musical presentation that will keep your whole family smiling! This play may answer some age-old questions. Like Will Charlie Brown get to kick that football? Will Linus be able to kick his blankie habit? Will Sally get Linus to notice her cute blonde curls? Or will Pigpen rid himself of that crazy cloud of dust? It will be a night of Peanuts, excellent jazz music and for many Moms and Dads great memories of Shultzs classic comic stars. A great night out for the whole family!
